@mageloccmusic I'm not sure that I'd be of any help, since I've got next to no experience with hardware stuff like that (let alone the fact that I don't have any tools for doing that kind of stuff). That said, that sounds awesome, and I wish you luck!

The BP redemption period for the Apart, but Together event has begun. Prize lists and other details are on the forum in this post:

@bebates128 Getting the code to the system is one of the things that I hadn't quite worked out a clean way to do yet. To be perfectly honest, I was just compiling a raw binary and attaching a header from an official game to it to make it work.
  • May 29, 2020 16:54:12 UTC:
@bebates128 I need to find some more time to actually work on things, but alas life doesn't seem to want to work that way lately.
  • May 29, 2020 16:53:34 UTC:
@bebates128 That said, there's almost no functionality beyond putting stuff up on the screen at this point. Sound doesn't work, controls don't work (although I guess if you had something plugged into the maple ports on the filter board, that might work)...

Server Event: 15 Years On

It was fifteen years ago today that Sega released Phantasy Star Online for the Sega Dreamcast in the United States. It seems fitting to do something to commemorate this anniversary, so we have a new server event that starts now.

Event Information:
Start Time: January 29, 2016 @ 05:00 UTC (@250)
End Time: February 12, 2016 @ 05:00 UTC (@250)

The original Phantasy Star Online for the Sega Dreamcast was released 15 years ago. Let’s keep the hunt going for 15 more years!
Your task is to hunt down the enemies that tormented all of those brave hunters that took to Ragol in the original Phantasy Star Online.

No prizes are being given for this event. This one is completely for the fun of it.

(Not So) Fine Print:

  • This event, like the previous two events, requires you to have enabled /trackkills on your account while logged in (with /login or /tlogin). It is only open to those with a registered account on the Sylverant website that have registered their serial number and access key on the site.
  • The /trackkills command must be run on each registered guildcard in your account for any kills made with that guildcard to be counted (results are aggregated across all guildcards in your account).
  • If you used the /trackkills command in the earlier events, unless you have since disabled it, your kills will be tracked for this event.
  • Only enemies killed in free-play will be counted — no enemies killed during quests will count toward your totals for this event.

Get out there and hunt down the creatures that tormented the brave hunters of lore!

    * Now a bit of drama to spice up this topic *
I know and understand that this event is for all players who have a record 100% active in sylverant but …
the fair would be that all legitimate players also participate
events, legitimate players I refer to those who use an original gd pso, it’s hard to get the original game and not always is a sealed pso with serial and access key
and I know that blue crab and ives Aleron or any other global root want
could easily allow the event to all hunters, but of course not for PC gamers
only to those who own a gd original pso room with or without the credentials that would be the politically correct thing to do

I’ve already replied to the same post on the Forums, so I won’t bother to do it here as well…

There are reasons the event system is set up the way it is, and I’m not changing it.

  4. Aleron Ives says:

The event is already limited to DC players with legitimate serial numbers, as only registered DC users can participate, and DC registration requires a legitimate serial number and access key. The type of disc you use (or no disc at all, as is the case for GDEMU players) has no bearing on your ability to participate.

  5. Nico0020 says:

Whichever disc you have should have no effect on this event. If you use official GDrom or not should make no difference. This server has always been about respecting others play styles and access styles. There are far too few people playing PSO these days to be worried about HOW someone chooses to play PSO as long as it doesn’t harm other peoples enjoyment of the game.

  6. Treamcaster says:

    Well said Nico0020!

  7. Anthonyhorror says:

Hey Blue, can you contact me via my email I can’t seem to login on the site.
