@ONESTARv2 Just normal maintenance. Mainly an upgrade of the OS installed on the server. As for PSOX, everything is currently in a holding pattern. Insignia is still not open to the public, and we will not be able to open Sylverant for PSOX connections until then.
  • Apr 12, 2021 14:39:50 UTC:
Sylverant maintenance completed ahead of schedule. The server should be back to normal operating conditions. Please let me know if anything is broken.
  • Apr 11, 2021 20:48:33 UTC:
The maintenance window may be shortened (that is to say the server may reopen earlier than the schedule above says), if conditions dictate that it can be.
  • Apr 11, 2021 20:47:39 UTC:
Sylverant will have a scheduled maintenance period tomorrow, Monday, April 12, 2021 from 09:00 to 12:00 EDT (13:00 - 16:00 UTC). During this time the PSO server and website will both be inaccessible.

@dragonminded @BobbyDilleyUK I'm just an old-school Dreamcast homebrewer (since 2001 or so), that someone gave a slight push to start looking at the Naomi too.

News

A bit of news, and a request…

Well, you may have noticed over there in the ship list that a new ship has mysteriously appeared. The ship there named Vega is the ship server operated by Dreamcast-Talk. So, I guess that they’re the first full-time ship other than ones I run myself up and running on the Sylverant server in general. The same rules apply on Vega that apply on Iselia (although I don’t think I’ve ever actually formally written out any real rules). Its been a bit of a long road, but hopefully this will go a long way toward building up a community here. That takes care of the news portion of this post (and that was one of the bigger pieces of news I mentioned in the last news post).

Now, onto the request mentioned in the post title. Please do not register multiple accounts for yourself. There’s no reason to register multiple accounts, since you can register as many guildcards as you need to to one account. There’s at least one instance where it appears one person has registered multiple accounts, so, I will be contacting that person to try to find out why they appear to have registered multiple accounts. Also, there may be a few problems with some account usernames that have been registered (my fault for not checking things better in the php script), so some people may be contacted about changing their usernames a little bit.

Hey, am I the multiple account guy? I have a feeling that I am indeed the multiple account guy.

    • BlueCrab says:

I don’t believe you have multiple accounts, unless you’ve registered them with different email addresses.

Hehe, i’m happy with the transition, especially with the fact that ppl will be able to access both ships by picking any of the 2 ips avaiable, wich is nice for those using autoconnect disks at dc-talk.
The work beeing done is great and bluecrab cares for things to make the pso gaming as best it can be (such as the word select fix).

  3. Didi says:

Isso só aumenta ainda mais nossa comunidade, e o que depender de mim, o PSO nunca morrerá.

That only increases still more our community, and what to depend on me, PSO will never die.

Muito bom o servidor Sylverant, é uma junção de rapidez e qualidade, espero que outras pessoas também se unam a o servidor.

Very good server Sylverant, is an amalgamation of speed and quality, I hope that others join the server.
